All TES fans know about these artifacts - if you wish, you can collect the entire collection of masks, each of which has its own properties and effects. And the design of the masks is very good. It's time to take them all apart (with a slight pinch of spoilers), which is the purpose of this article.

There are 14 masks in total, including the Wooden Mask (more details below) + 4 masks from the Dragonborn add-on. To get any mask, you will have to fight with the dragon priest - the masks are named after their owners. These are quite strong opponents, you need to be ready to conquer the artifact.

one. . Increases carry weight by 20 units, allows you to breathe underwater and prices are 20% cheaper. This charm is located in the ancient Nordic ruins of Volskigge - this is between the Lost Echo Cave and the Forest Hold, not far from the Dragon Bridge, it is mined without a quest. Enemies are waiting for Dovakin already at the entrance to the ruins - it will not be difficult to fight them. Next come marauders, traps, chests with useful items (better stock up on master keys); a riddle that must be solved in order to open the grate; word of power, draugr, spiders - a classic, in general. At the end, of course, a dragon priest awaits, from whose body you can then take 250 coins and, in fact, the mask.

2. - a valuable gift for magicians. Mana regeneration is increased by 100%. This mask is located in Labyrinthian - it is south of Morthal, easily accessible by road. But you won’t be able to enter there if you don’t have the “Labyrinthian Door Ring” with you. To get the ring, you need to complete the main quest of the College of Mages - but the mask is worth it. It is impossible not to notice that the quest and the location itself are interesting, exciting and the Labyrinthian is a unique complex of ruins, just teeming with adventure. At the very entrance to the ruins, a lot of enemies await the player, and many of them are unusual… Okay, no spoilers. So, at the end of the location is the owner of the mask himself + the staff of Magnus for further passage.

3. . But this "bun" is good for thieves. Shooting skill increased by 20%, hacking and alchemy skills increased by the same amount. Its habitat is the Two-Headed Peak. This location is in the mountains, but it is not difficult to get to it. The wall of words is guarded by a dragon, but if the quest “Dragon in the Sky” is not completed, then it will not be here. Now, to take the mask, you do not need to roam the ancient ruins, solve charades and breathe rotten draugr - just go to the wall of words, defeat the dragon and the priest. The player takes the mask, learns 3 words of power at once (Voice Throw) and leaves without further torment.

4. The mask increases your stamina by 70. Ownership - Rift, dungeon - Forelhost, very close to the city. Near the entrance to the ruins, there is a camp of the Storm Brothers or the Empire - it depends on which side the GG chose. Then the player himself will find out everything. A little note - in the captain's pocket there is one interesting note that reveals his real face. The ruin is full of traps and dead bodies. In general, I don’t want to spoil the impression of the quest (it is quite interesting), so the player learns everything from his own experience. To note - in the refectory of Forelhost lie hordes of draugrs - when was it easy to pick up valuable artifacts in the ruins? And in the battle with the stranger, Ragoth will be assisted by high-level draugrs. On the body of the priest, the entire reward is a mask and a powerful staff that creates a fiery wall. At the exit, the GG is met by a wall of words and the camp captain himself, sending another naive soldier to certain death in ruins. Only the captain's uniform is now not the same as at the beginning of the quest - he was dressed as a Stormcloak, but became an Imperial ... Why would that be?

5. - provides full resistance to diseases and poisons, which is very good for a mask. Priest Hevnorak - speaks to the player in the same way as Morokei (he is not inferior in strength either). And his “base” is in the tomb of Valtum (a lot of spiders, a lot of coffins, a lot of dangerous draugrs) - the possession of the Limit. Going to Hevnorak, you can contemplate the picturesque, mountainous landscapes of the Limit. The player who enters the ruins receives a quest that will have to be completed in any case. In addition to the mask, the priest carries a named staff that builds a thunderstorm wall with 50 HP. electricity damage per second.

6. increases resistance to three elements at once - electricity, cold and fire - by 30%. The burial place of the priest is Rangvald, the possession of the Limit, not far from the Lover's Stone. The interesting structure and magical beauty of the tomb distinguishes it from other ruins. To release the priest, you need to remove the iron brackets - for this there are two skull keys guarded by strong draugr. Otar is a fairly strong opponent. As with Hevnorak, you can take the Staff of the Storm Wall from it.

7. - this little thing adds 50 units to the player. mana, restoration and destruction spells cost 20% less magicka. The mask is waiting for the player in Skuldafn (where it is impossible to get to without going through the main storyline). Yes, there are some unpleasant moments here - draugrs and dragons, but Dovahkin is probably already used to them. There are even more draugrs inside Skuldafn, to put it bluntly - there are just a ton of them! Behind the door, opened with a claw, there is another wall with thu'um (Storm's call). And at the top of Skuldafn, right in front of the portal to Sovngarde, Nakrin himself with open arms flies with his staff.

8. also helps magicians. Thanks to her, the spells of the school of illusion, change and sorcery save more magic power. You can find her in the High Gate Ruins (east of Solitude and west of Dawnstar). The most primitive Nordic tomb with puzzles and draugrs, with the exception of the companion girl that the GG will meet at the entrance to the ruins. The priest has the same thing - a mask and a staff of fireballs. To be honest, it is not difficult to get to it, to compare at least with Nakrin. And the properties of the mask are quite useful to the magician.

9. Very, very cool mask -. That's what its feature is - at a low level of health, the mask heals the wearer (+250 hit points), and at the second decrease in health per battle, it additionally envelops the player in a fiery aura, which deals 8 (with pumped destruction - 25) units. damage per second to all surrounding enemies for one minute. There is a 2% chance that the mask will summon a strong dragon priest to protect Dovahkiin.

ten. . Without other masks, it is completely useless, but nevertheless, only with its help you can get Konarik. She lies in the location of Labyrinthian, in the Sanctuary of Bromunar, quietly buzzing. Yes, it just lies. This item transports the wearer back in time to the Shrine of the Dragon Priests. To get Konarik, you need to put all 9 masks on the altar in order to start the mechanism. In this case, not a single mask will disappear, everything can be taken back. If the wooden mask is lost, you can return it using the console command.

And now 4 masks from Solstheim Island.

11. - increases the supply of mana. The amount of increased magic depends on the level of the player. You can get the artifact during the main Solstheim storyline by defeating the formidable enemy Miraak.

The remaining 3 masks help the mages of the school of destruction.

12. - resistance to frost spells by 50 units. + Cold magic deals 25% more damage to enemies. Location - mound of the White Ridge. The mask can be obtained by completing the quest "Lost Knowledge" or "Secret of the Black Book (Sickly Regent)". Everything is according to the rules - draugrs, albino spiders, a priest and his mask.

13. - resistance to fire by 50 units. + Flame spells deal 25% more damage to enemies. Additionally, you can collect a set of Ahzidal equipment on the way to the priest - such a big "bun" for the magician. Given with the Dragon Priest during the quest "The Excavations", in which the player is pulled into by the Dunmer Ralis Sedaris at Kolbjorn Barrow.

14. - resistance to electricity by 50 units. + electricity magic is stronger by 25%. It is located in the small barrow of Bloodskal, from where there is also an exit to Raven Rock Mine. The mask quest itself is taken either from the miner Crestius Karellius “The Last Descent”, or he can get caught in the tavern, that is, “Reward for the leader of the bandits”.

A collection of dragon masks will decorate any inventory, any mannequin, any showcase. If you also download a mod on a special stand in the Dovakin's estate, designed for dragon masks, then they will look great and remind you of past adventures. Still, Skyrim is truly a great game!

Dragon Cult appeared on the lands of Tamriel in the Merethic Era, along with the arrival of Ysgramor. His people brought with them a faith that honored the animal gods: the hawk, the wolf, the snake, the moth, the owl, the whale, the bear, the fox, and the dragon. Chief among all animals was the dragon. In the ancient language of the Nords, he was called "dra-gkon" or "dov-ra". No one was allowed to pronounce these names except dragon priests. Great temples were erected to honor and appease the dragons. The dragons willingly assumed the role of human god-kings, and the dragon priests received a small fraction of their power in exchange for absolute obedience. In Atmora, whence Ysgramor came, the dragon priests collected tribute, established laws and determined the foundations of life, thanks to which peace was maintained between dragons and people. In Tamriel, they became much less merciful and began to rule with an iron fist, reducing the rest of the population to the level of slaves. Their cruelty was unbearable for people, and at the end of the First Era erupted dragon war which was long and bloody. The dragon priests were overthrown and the dragons massacred. The surviving dragons went on the run and chose the life of outcasts away from people. The dragon cult itself adapted and survived. The adepts built dragon mounds, in which they buried the remains of the dragons who died during the war. According to their beliefs, the day will come when the dragons will rise again and reward the faithful.

With the return of dragons in TES5, high priests will also awaken from their centuries-old sleep, who, as in the old days, will try to please their masters. Each of them has a magical mask - a strange relic that violates the laws of time and gives unprecedented power. High priests dwell in ancient tombs scattered throughout Skyrim, and the ominous and gloomy labyrinthian, located in the mountains southeast of Morthal, serves as the place where the main reward will be received. When all eight masks are collected, you need to appear in Shrine of Bromunar(a low round building in the center of the temple complex, not marked on the map with a marker, next to the entrance to Shalidor's labyrinth), pick up the wooden mask next to the altar and put it on through inventory. The wooden mask acts as a time machine, it takes its owner to the distant past, to the altar with the busts of the priests of the Dragon Cult. By placing the masks on the named cells, the dragon's skull will rise, and in his mouth he will have the last, golden mask. Once the hoisting ritual is completed, all the masks can be collected from the busts and returned to reality by removing the wooden mask, which only works within the Sanctuary. Chests in the Sanctuary can be used for their intended purpose, storing things in them that no one but the owner of the wooden mask can get to.

If any of the masks was sold or lost during your travels in Skyrim in TES5, you can return it using the console. To do this, press the [~] (tilde) key, enter the player.additem [number of items] command in the line. For example, you need to return the mask of the high priest Vokun: in the console we write - player.additem 00061CC9 1 (letter case is not important), press the key, after which the specified item will appear in the inventory. TES5 Dragon Priest Mask IDs: Hevnorak - 00061CC1, Krosis - 00061CB9, Morokei - 00061C8B, Nakrin - 00061CA5, Otar - 00061CC2, Ragot - 00061CC0, Wokun - 00061CC9, Volsung - 00061CAB, wooden mask - CA0061C.

Dragon Priests or Dragon Priests are hideous creatures found in most of the dragon caves in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Not only are they ugly, but they are also one of the most powerful adversaries in Skyrim. Often the Priests guard the Word Walls, where one can learn new words to form cries.

After killing the Priest, each of them drops a special mask that has very strong magical properties. Wearing a mask, these properties will pass into you.

Collecting these masks is important not only to get magic boosts, but they are also part of the quest, the reward for which will be the last, most powerful mask - Wooden. To obtain this mask, you need to collect 8 Dragon Priest masks, one from each. Thus, there are 9 masks in the game.

So you don't have any other options. Either cheating or killing eight Priests. After collecting all the masks, head to the temple next to the Labyrinth. The temple will be destroyed. The Wooden Mask must be taken from the skeleton next to the temple and after that... spoiler! You will travel in time. Here we set the masks on a pedestal, and the dragon's head will open the ninth mask - Konarik, which has the ability to protect and sorcery.

The very first servants of dragons in the Elder Scrolls universe were the notorious Dragon Priests from Skyrim. A wide variety of locations are considered to be their habitats, for example, Labyrinthian, Nordic ruins and the Walls of Words with the Words of Power depicted on them. If the player wants to find them, then first of all he should pay attention to those places in the northern province where dragons were once a cult of worship.

general information

When the player disturbs the Priests, they rise up and attack him. During the battle, the Dragon Priests of Skyrim use various spells and the ability to summon creatures. The fact that they managed to become immortal lich-necromancers speaks of their powerful past.

Also in the game there is a special spell that allows Dovakin to call on the followers of the Dragon Cult to help him. The main condition for the spell is the last mask of the Priests - Konarik. Note that the liches summoned in this way are significantly inferior in strength to named characters.

Detailed information about the Dragon Cult is stored in the book "War of the Dragons".

Priests vs Dovahkiin

Any battle requires the right tactics, and the battle with the Dragon Priests of Skyrim is no exception. To begin with, we will consider the basic behavior of the enemy in combat. As mentioned earlier, lich necromancers love to use magic spells, as well as summon various creatures. An unprepared mid-level player is unlikely to stand against such a force. That is why it is better to go to the location of the Dragon Priests of Skyrim at high pumping or after careful preparation.

In addition to their enormous strength, the followers of the Dragon Cult have high survivability. In close combat, they are not as effective as in long-range combat, so the enemy will try to move away from the player as far as possible.

Priests do not like to stand in one place, so they always change their position. While moving, they use the unique power of their enchanted staves. If the blow hits Dovakin, then his health will begin to decrease rapidly.

Appropriate tactics

Taking into account all the above information, you can imagine how the fight should go. The most winning strategy consists of a few simple actions that require repeated repetition. To begin with, we pronounce that "mind that slows down time, and hit the enemy several times. The lich will not be able to dodge all attacks at once, so he will still receive some kind of damage. Next, we run closer to him to use the most powerful artifacts, for example, Radiance of Dawn or Razor of Mehrunes.

If the priest managed to summon several creatures to help him, then you can try to use the Chain Lightning spell (or a staff that has the same effect). However, if we talk about the most effective weapons, then these are, of course, the spells of the School of Destruction. They will help to break through not only the armor of the Dragon Priests of Skyrim, but also any other evil spirits. In turn, the use of ice spells and that "minds" is practically useless.

Masks of the Dragon Cult

Eight Priests (thirteen with Dragonborn) are considered named. Each of these followers keeps a unique mask with various magical effects. All Skyrim Dragon Priest masks have a special power - it can be the ability to control a large weight, or a bonus to magical energy.

All this makes the Priests really difficult opponents for a simple player. Some of them may be endowed with the same abilities as Dovakin. It is about understanding the dragon language, as well as the ability to use certain minds.

After finding all the name masks (plus the wooden one), the player has the opportunity to find the last and strongest of them - Konarik.

Skyrim Dragon Priest Masks - where to find them? Part 1

You can collect masks not only for the sake of magical boosts - they also open access to an additional quest, after which you can get the last, most powerful mask.

  • Wooden - for this mask, the player will have to go to the Labyrinthian. Its main property is to move its owner in time.

If you put on the Wooden Mask in the tomb, not far from the cult altar, you can go back in time. Several pedestals will appear in front of the player, on which eight masks of the Skyrim Dragon Priests must be placed. Thus, we will open the passage to the last artifact. In order to move back to the present, it is enough to pick up the Wooden Mask.

  • Volsung - Hidden in the Nordic ruins of Volskigge. By wearing it, the player will be able to access an infinite supply of oxygen to stay underwater and increase the carry weight by 20 units. Among its main properties, one can also note the receipt of a twenty percent discount on all goods from merchants.
  • Morokei - for the third mask, Dovakin must again go to the Labyrinthian. Suitable for all magicians, as it completely regenerates mana.

We continue to hunt for masks. Part 2

  • Wokun - Another mask suitable for mages, located within the ruins of the High Gate. Thanks to its magical properties, the hero can use 20% less mana during spells (Illusion and Alteration schools only).
  • Krosis - hidden in the Two-Headed Peak. This mask suits the type of player who prefers stealth and fast combat. With its help, you can increase archer, stealth, and alchemy skills by 20%.
  • Otar - during the search for the sixth mask, the player will visit the expanses of Rangwald. Otar is considered a kind of bonus to the abilities of all "tanks". Thanks to her, the hero receives an elemental defense increased by 30%. Protection acts against cold, fire and electricity.
  • Hevnorak - located within Valtum. The mask gives the strongest immunity and protects the player from all the diseases and poisons that the northern province is so rich in.

  • Ragot - stored in Forelhost. Ragoth's mask increases Strength by 70 and can be used by Warriors.
  • Nakrin is the last artifact that is hidden in the Nordic ruins of Skuldafn. The mask is loved by all students of the schools of Destruction and Restoration. It increases magic damage (by 50) and reduces the mana absorption of spells (by 20%).

Mask of Konarik

After the player has managed to collect all the existing masks, he gains access to the Shrine of Bromunar. Inside is stored the main and most powerful mask - Konarik. Its unique properties endow the character with real immortality. The Konarik mask works according to the following principle: when Dovakin's health approaches zero, he receives the ability of instant healing. At the same time, he inflicts very significant damage to opponents.

Konarik - Dragon Priest

To expand the in-game lore, through the efforts of modders, a rather interesting mod for the Dragon Priests of Skyrim was created. He adds a new quest to the game about the great and terrible Konarik, with which Dovakin can fight. As a reward for passing the modification, the player receives the same Konarik mask, however, with more improved characteristics and boosts.

The quest starts from the sanctuary of Bromjunaar (Labyrinthian location) - there, not far from the Breton skeleton, there is a bloody note. We read it and fulfill all the conditions. After that, we find Konarik and fight him in an unequal battle. We kill the Priest and take away the improved Mask - the quest is completed!
