In order to create your own work of art, you do not need special skills, remember school labor lessons, make an effort and follow our advice. You will succeed.

New Year's cross stitch

Why has the tradition of New Year and Christmas cross stitch become so popular? A few years ago, she came to us from the west, because it was there that the creation of cross-stitched pictures depicting an elegant Christmas tree, good-natured Santa and his helpers, Christmas wreaths became an invariable attribute of the holiday.

There was even a special name stitchmas (stichmas), formed from Christmas (Christmas) and cross-stitch (cross-stitch). There is something sweet and truly homely about it. If you do not want to lag behind imported needlewomen, get down to business, because it will take a lot of time.

First, decide on the size of the embroidery, you should not aim at a large-scale canvas, because it is laborious, requires skills and time. Keep the drawing small but cute. Don't forget the materials. You will need a special canvas, most often bright festive shades are used: red, blue, green.

The most common Aida canvas. We will embroider with cotton floss, to add shine, you can purchase a metallic floss. There are also special Christmas embroidery kits on sale.

It's time to choose a plot, their diversity is simply amazing: Santa Claus and his granddaughter, a Christmas tree with toys, a winter forest, a glass ball, gifts, etc. If this is embroidery for a kid, then please him with funny animals or cartoon characters.

Scheme:

An interesting idea is to embroider a symbol of the upcoming New Year. The picture can be decorated with beads and glass beads. A variety of free New Year's embroidery patterns can be found on the Internet, they are usually accompanied by detailed instructions for implementation.

Many people wonder: how to use an embroidered picture. The most traditional option is making postcards. The blank can be bought in a specialized store. It is a piece of thick double cardboard with a window in the middle. You can make it yourself. New Year's embroidery will look great on Christmas tree decorations, and embroidered napkins or tablecloths will decorate any table.

As a rule, a small monochrome pattern is embroidered on them, for example, snowflakes, stars or cones. If your family has a tradition of putting gifts in a bag or stocking, then you can make it more festive with the help of New Year's cross-stitch.

satin stitch embroidery

New Year's satin stitch embroidery is less common, but no less beautiful. Many sites offer free embroidery patterns. Embroidered satin stitch patterns can decorate children's costumes for a matinee, home-made brooches and medallions with embroidery inside look elegant. Well, a lace handkerchief, decorated with the monogram of the owner, will become a truly elegant and aristocratic gift.

Ideas for work design:

New Year's pictures for satin stitch embroidery and cross stitch patterns will help you decide on the choice of gifts for your loved ones. Delight your friends with homemade cute trinkets that will always remind you of your warm relationship.

Good afternoon, today I want to show ANOTHER WAY to make beautiful embroidery for the New Year. We already have an article where A is collected in this In this article, I have collected photo ideas and patterns for SEAM embroidery on the New Year theme. This embroidery method is suitable for the smallest craftsmen - therefore, this article is a useful guide for elementary school teachers who teach labor lessons and leaders of the Skillful Hands circles.

I want to not only inspire you, give pictures, diagrams, but also show what types of seams you can implement these New Year's works.

So, let's dive into this amazing world of beautiful handmade New Year's gifts.

Embroidery for the new year

Simple children's work.

Below we see a beautiful silhouette of a deer, made with white threads on a red canvas. Such an embroidered picture can be stretched into a round frame and presented for the New Year to mom, grandmother, friends. As you can see, the work is small - just a silhouette of a deer and a northern star above it.

How to transfer an image to fabric. It is done simply. We print the picture on paper. We stretch the fabric on the hoop. We attach a picture to the window, lean against the window glass on top of the paper hoop - and the picture shines through on the fabric. With a pencil, you can apply a silhouette to the fabric - that is, translate the picture. You can use carbon paper - sold in stationery.

How to embroider a picture without transferring to fabric. You can clamp a paper sheet with a New Year's picture right into the hoop with the fabric - and embroider the seam DIRECTLY OVER the paper. Then carefully tear off the paper from the fabric - the seam will remain.

If you like the deer idea. Here are some templates suitable for this job.

Print these New Year's embroidery patterns - or take a copy on a blank sheet of paper, directly placing it on the computer screen.

Embroidery SNOWMAN

For the New Year.

You can embroider a snowman. The most simple. For example, this one. Buttons can be sewn on real. Embroider an orange nose with a satin stitch - so that it is bright. And the scarf can be embroidered with satin stitch in a colored stripe. Add falling snowflakes. Or a broom.

Here are ideas for snowmen embroidered with thread - a regular stitch.

How to reshoot a picture-scheme for embroidery.

Not everyone has a printer to print a pattern for embroidery for the new year. There is another way that I always use. Just put a sheet of paper on your computer screen. Drawing from the screen will shine through on a white sheet. We take a simple pencil - and outline the picture with gentle lines. Do not press on the screen - if you have a liquid crystal display, this can damage it. We outline the outlines of the picture with light lines. And then, after removing the sheet from the screen, we circle the picture with a bold pencil or felt-tip pen.

How to reduce the size of the diagram-picture.

If the diagram is too big for you, you can reduce it. It's simple: press with one hand and hold the keyCTRL on your keyboard - and with your other hand roll the mouse wheel away from you. And the picture will decrease - the further you turn, the smaller the circuit will be. And if you twist it in the opposite direction, it will increase. After the size you need, you can trace the embroidery pattern by placing a sheet of paper directly on the screen.

Here are small schemes of snowmen. You can increase them right now.

How to enlarge a diagram. In the same way as zooming in - with one hand press and hold the CTRL button on your keyboard - and with the other hand at this time turn the mouse wheel - towards you. Enlarged to the size you need - put a sheet of paper on the monitor screen - and circled with a pencil without pressing, so as not to damage the screen. And then, with a felt-tip pen, all the lines were made clear and visible.

What to do if, when enlarged, the picture crawled sideways behind the screen. Sometimes when zoomed in, the picture floats to the side of the screen, disappearing from the line of sight. Then you need to find such MOBILE GRAY STRIPS at the bottom of the screen - pull this strip to the side - and the picture floating sideways behind the screen will return to your monitor.

Embroidery for the New Year

Christmas boot.

An embroidered New Year's boot looks very elegant, with gifts sticking out of it. Here in the photo we see a boot with a dog. Please note that there are decorative elements in the boot - an embroidery mesh in the upper part of the boot. The dog's ears are embroidered with a continuous satin stitch. The stripes on the boot are made with a different seam. And the picture itself is sheathed in a circle - with a colored edging. Plus, the author made simple stars - with a stretch of thread - long stitches-rays of a star. Each star is only 5 long stitches.

Here are the ideas of embroidery for the New Year in the form of boots.

New Year's compositions

For embroidery.

You can embroider any elements of New Year's decor. What usually decorate a room or table setting for the new year. Embroidered candles, bells, garlands and more.

Here are beautiful patterns with candles for simple and quick embroidery for the New Year. Halos of light around the candle can be drawn with yellow threads of different shades. Or use golden lurex.

Here is an idea with New Year's bells. Beautiful and festive embroidery for the new year. The stripes on the bells can be embroidered with a load or made with a seam of a different texture. Bumbo balls at the ends of the bells can be made in the form of round buttons. Get interesting. And tie a real textile satin ribbon from the store.

Some elements of the bell can be made with beads. It will turn out an interesting textured embroidery for the New Year.

Christmas decorations

Embroidery schemes for the New Year.

You can sew a towel out of white fabric - and embroider pendants with Christmas tree decorations of various shapes with intricate patterns around its edges.

And to make the embroidery as a gift for the New Year even brighter, you can insert colored fabric appliqués into it (as in the embroidery in the photo below). Cut out the silhouette of the toy. Put it on embroidery - smooth it with an iron. And overcast with a seam along the edge of the fabric insert. And for reliability, between the base fabric and the appliqué fabric, you can put an adhesive cobweb (non-woven or dublerin) and iron it - so the appliqué will also stick - and then it will be even easier and more convenient to sheathe it.

Gingerbread house

Like embroidery for the New Year.

Gingerbread houses with a candy roof, with rainbow caramels, with cream icicles and marshmallow snowdrifts. You can bake such a sweet treat for the New Year, or you can make it as a gift embroidery.

Here are ready-made patterns for embroidery.

Gingerbread Man

On New Year's embroidery.

Where there is a gingerbread house, there is a gingerbread man. You can embroider two napkins - complete with a little man and a house.

Embroidery for the New Year

with snowflakes.

Embroidered snowflakes are an indescribable beauty. Delicate patterns look especially beautiful and touching when made with white threads on a dark fabric background (black, dark blue).

But you can also embroider with blue thread over white fabric. The rays of a snowflake can be made using different techniques - this will give them additional patterning and relief.

Owls on winter embroidery

For the New Year.

You can make embroidery for the new year in the form of an owl. Now everyone loves to decorate clothes with images of owls. And embroidery for the New Year is no exception. Especially if your child collects owls (like my daughter). A good idea to please with such a gift with owl embroidery.

Girls on New Year's embroidery.

Cute fairy girls on skates and skis, or in the form of angels can decorate your winter embroidery as a New Year's gift.

The girl will love this theme. Calmly and slowly, you can divide the work into several stages. Today we embroider hairs, tomorrow Christmas trees, then a dress and legs, then a hat and a pompom. It will be easier for the child if you do some of the elements. Collaboration will go faster and bring you closer - and will remain warm pictures in your memory for many years to come.

And you can also embroider your favorite cartoon characters in your embroidery for the New Year. For example, Peppa Pig in a New Year's hat. Or her whole family near a smart Christmas tree.

Good luck with your work this New Year.

May the embroidered happiness come true this year.

Olga Klishevskaya, specially for the site

It is believed that needlework with New Year's motifs attracts happiness into the house in the new year.

Do you need happiness? - Take it.

WHAT are we going to embroider today?

  • We will decorate with embroidery New Year cards- in two at once CROSS and SPIDER TECHNIQUES
  • I will give a lot of schemes so that you can do it yourself Christmas TOYS embroidered with threads floss in the technique of a cross ...
  • Also, the New Year's embroidery theme will decorate BALLS on the Christmas tree
  • And we will do it with our own hands gift cases for tablets and smartphones... as a gift for the new year.
  • And we will embroider New Year's motifs on NAPKINSon TOWELS or tablecloths
  • and create whole embroidered pictures with deer, Santa Claus and snowmen on PILLOWS.

And also we have an article - with a NEW TECHNIQUE of New Year's embroidery (not a cross ...) -

There you will find the easiest embroidery techniques for young children. Ideal topics for classes in circles and in elementary grades in labor lessons.

So...let's get started. Everything promised is in order.

New Year's CROSS embroidery on Christmas toys.

The toys are light (inside the synthetic winterizer), bright (juicy colors of floss threads) and kind (mother's hands and love).

Now I will tell you all the technique for creating such toys - step by step.

THE ESSENCE OF WORK IS SIMPLE…

  • We insert a canvas into the hoop - of sufficient size to fit the entire conceived pattern.

To know which piece of canvas we need, we must calculate the size of future embroidery.

One cell on the diagram is equal to two holes on the canvas.

Now counting the holes of the canvas in width and length. There should be 2 times more of them than the cells in the diagram.

If there are 2 times more of them than the cells in the diagram, then our cross-stitch will fit on the canvas.

  • Making cross stitch...
  • We cut the canvas around the embroidery ... not along the very edge, but slightly stepping back from the edge - this will be the front wall of our toy. From any fabric we cut out a piece of the same shape (this will be the back wall of the toy ...)
  • Sew together the front and back of the toy. It is necessary to sew by attaching the details of the front and back with the FACE INSIDE ... We sew along the seam, around all edges - BUT LEAVING a hole through which we will turn our toy on the front side.
  • They turned out the sewn toy - and filled it with cotton wool (or synthetic winterizer) ... they sewed up the hole through which they turned it out. We sewed a loop to hang the toy on the Christmas tree.

Here are small patterns for such embroidery ... They are just for small toys.

Or Christmas tree toys embroidered with a cross may not necessarily be chubby - they can be FLAT

They can be pulled on a cardboard frame a ... or insert into a small frame for embroidery(round or star-shaped). You can generally do embroidery on a piece of thick leather (as in the left photo below).

For such New Year's embroidery, small schemes are needed ... the smaller, the better ...

Here's what I found for you on this topic...

Embroidery of ROUND Christmas toys for the Christmas tree.

Or you can do it VERY simply. On the canvas - put a glass- circle it around with a pencil... And the resulting circle on the canvas FILL any cross stitch pattern... You will receive a round drawing of a New Year's ball ...

This round embroidery pattern can be left on the canvas ... and inserted into a frame ... decorated with a bow and a spruce branch ...

Or (as in the photo below) cut along the contour and sew Christmas decorations (using the same technique that I described above).

That is, we cross-stitch two such pancake circles.

Cut them out - fold them face to face - and sew their edges together.

In order for the circles to keep their perfectly round shape, you can insert a cardboard circle between them ...

and add a little synthetic winterizer or cotton wool for plumpness.

And also ... I found this one scheme for embroidery ROUND DONUTS. Here it would look very good on our Christmas tree balls embroidered with a cross ... But what ...? Glorious New Year's donuts - hang on the Christmas tree. I think it's very charming...

The circuit does not have a very good picture quality (as you can see) ... But in this circuit, ACCURACY IS NOT IMPORTANT ... you decide how exactly the cream icing should flow over the donut ... and where the colored candied fruits should stick out.

That is, such embroidery can be done without any schema.

And here are options for a similar idea but already with embroidery in the SMOOTH technique ... with elements of bead embroidery and seam ...

And yet ... YOU CAN MAKE A DECOR FOR THE BALL. Cut out circles from the canvas with New Year's embroidery - you can attach to the Christmas ball(or foam blank-ball) - and sew circles-pancakes between themselves- so that the ball was left inside pancake embroidery. Like in the photo below.

Or you can decorate the balls with embroidery - to complement the decoration of satin ribbons - in the technique of "Artichoke" ... this is when the tape is cut into pieces of 3 cm ... the edges of the segment are bent into a triangle ... and these tape triangles are pinned to a foam ball with a pin ... with a checkerboard pattern ... like in fish scales. There are many artichoke master classes on the Internet - search, you will find.

CASES FOR TABLET - with New Year's embroidery.

Or you can sew such a fabric cover (New Year's cover for a tablet or smartphone). It's simple - you also need to sew an embroidered pattern cut out of canvas to the front detail.

That is…

  1. Cut out of fabric 2 rectangle a (front detail and back detail of the cover). It is better to take the fabric in red ... and dense, so that it keeps its shape).
  2. Making New Year's cross stitch on canvas(The size of the embroidery must match the size of the cover.
  3. Cut out New Year's embroidery and sew it to the front part of the front part.
  4. Add up both pieces together- against each other - front sides inward. We sew on three sides (we sew along the edges) ... And we don’t sew the fourth side, but we process the edges - we bend it to the wrong side (1 cm edge) and we sew around this neck of our cover ...
  5. Turning the cover inside out... and done.
  6. You can also sew on if you wish. ribbon with a bell... it can be sewn right into the seam ... that is, slip it between the front and back piece - even BEFORE sewing them together.

And here are the embroidery patterns for the New Year's cover. Here are such small schemes - suitable for cases ON SMARTPHONE.

For TABLETS we need larger New Year's schemes... At the very top of this article - I've highlighted a paragraph on HOW to calculate the size of future embroidery... to make sure it won't be too big... or too small - for our future tablet case.

New Year's embroidery on POUCH FOR GIFTS.

Sweet gifts (candies and other little things) for the New Year are best packed in handmade bags ... cross-stitching of such cubs is done very fast. One bag in one evening will work. We sat down at the TV, turned on the movie ... and drove off. By the end of the movie, everything will be ready.

It was these bears that I did not find for you ... But such cute New Year's bears were found in the expanses of the bourgeois net. They are perfect for our New Year's theme.

CARDS with embroidery for the New Year.

There are two interesting options for embroidery -

  • one classic CROSS…
  • another original SPIDER WEB…

Cross stitch on a postcard looks amazing when applied SLOTS technique. That is, glue the canvas with cross-stitch on the INSIDE side of the New Year's card. And in the FRONT side of the postcard itself, make slot(so that the embroidery is visible. We glue the embroidery to the back of the first sheet ... and put the second sheet of the inner spread of the postcard clean in order to write a New Year's wish.

If you don't want to make cuts... you can just stick the embroidery - better not with glue (it can leave whitish stains on the embroidery) but with DOUBLE-SIDED TAPE... it's very easy to do.

HOW TO GLUE EMBROIDERY on the front side of the postcard with TAPE (double-sided).

The cut out part of the embroidery is applied to the right place on the postcard ... we circle it with a pencil lightly ...

We glue all this place (inside the pencil frame) with double-sided tape ... (we cut as much as necessary and glue it)

Then we tear off the protective film from the adhesive tape ... and apply our embroidery evenly on the sticky side ....

The edges of the embroidery-canva can be left as a fringe... or you can cover it with braid or a touch of lace...

Here's another one for you ... I give increased embroidery on a postcard - it clearly shows the scheme of a tree ... birds ... and Christmas tree decorations.

And here is the technique of embroidery with a SPIDER WEB on a postcard– very fast in execution… But a bit slow in concept (preparatory work needed). Although in total - you will get the result faster than with cross stitch. Now I will tell you how we will act ...

Master class on New Year's embroidery with a SPIDER on a postcard ...

  1. draw on a piece of paper a sketch of what we plan to depict.

  2. Then decide WHERE WE WILL HAVE puncture points ... mark them with a felt-tip pen on our draft sketch.

  3. And from these points on paper, draw rays-threads with a pencil ... That is, with a pencil, plan how the threads from puncture holes can diverge - and what kind of picture will turn out in the end ... When we liked our cobweb DRAWN on a draft, you can already take on the twist itself.

  4. We attach our draft sketch to attach. And with a pin right through the sketch, mark the puncture points on the postcard. You can immediately press and pierce - through the eschi and a postcard under it. For convenient piercing, it is better to put something soft under everything - for example, a diaper folded 4 times (or a thin towel).

CHILDREN'S EMBROIDERY - on a New Year's card.

Also...if you have kids... they will really like this idea of \u200b\u200bdecorating a New Year's card with a cross ...

We make many, many holes ... and draw crosses between them ... Thread a thick woolen thread into a thick needle ... it will be convenient for the child to hold in his hand ... And let him repeat the drawn crosses ... make a pattern ...

NAPKINS - with New Year's embroidery.

These napkins in the photo below I really like because they are MONOCHROME... that is, the pattern on them is made in ONE COLOR ... it turns out very elegant. And by the way - economically, no need to buy a bunch of threads of different colors.

In this photo, the SCHEME of the pattern is very clearly visible ... it is easy to redraw it on paper with fir-trees ... A candle is a rectangle with an uneven edge ... a candle flame is a column of a wick and several columns around it with a halo ....

Gifts are cubes ... and the bow pattern is very clearly visible ...

The Christmas tree is a triangle with some rows of embroidery missing...

As you can see, everything is very simple ... And I also found a couple of schemes for you too with a monochrome Christmas pattern.

AND ALSO ... you can embroider not small New Year's napkins ... And LONG NAPKIN on the festive table ... For a beautiful New Year's table setting.

Here, especially for those who caught fire with this chic idea - I give cross-stitch snowflake patterns.

By the way ... you can draw such patterns on paper in a box ... These are snowflakes ... everything is simple here ... draw identical sets of black and white cells- to the north \ south \ west \ east - and the embroidery pattern is ready.

TOWEL - with a chain from a New Year's pattern with a cross.

A great idea for a DIY gift - buy a white cheap polonetse ... take a canvas ... embroider a chain of several repeating patterns on the canvas ... cut out this ribbon with embroidery from the canvas ... and sew the ribbon with embroidery to the edge of the towel ... decorate everything with lace (buy lace ... or knit crochet, if you know how).

Great! Truth?

If you decide to embroider a LONG RIBBON to decorate your kitchen towel…
Then you need small recurring motifs ...

You can embroider a ribbon for a towel - in the form of a chain of such small Christmas trees.

Or in the form New Year's toys... moreover, you can come up with a scheme for such toys yourself ... by analogy with what you see in the picture below ... THE SAME SHAPES ... but with a different pattern (whichever you like).

Or one of the chains of patterns suggested in the diagram below ... They are also great for embroidering the border of a towel or a New Year's tablecloth for a festive table: bells… pouches… sticks… Christmas trees…

Below I found more diagrams small Christmas patterns for cross stitch: angel, bell, deer, snowman, Christmas tree. You can alternate them ... or choose one motif and repeat it over and over ... along the entire border of the towel.

We continue to consider textile products with New Year's patterns for cross-stitching.

And here's a new idea for a gift with embroidery.

CHRISTMAS PILLOWS embroidered with a cross - as a gift.

I specifically give f from these bright pillows in full size so that you can copy the diagram for yourself with your eyes ... It is perfectly visible in these photographs ... here you don’t even need to draw on the cells ... Printed out on a color printer and embroider to your health.

By the way, I figured...

Pillow height with deer 70 cells (respectively, the width too)

If you buy a canvas with a larger cage size, we will get a bigger pillow ...

If you buy a smaller canvas, the pillow will come out smaller.

And, accordingly, the same principle applies to threads: for a canvas with a large cell size, you need to push a thicker bunch of floss threads into the needle.

Deer... snowmen... and of course Santa Claus... What bright and juicy pillows turn out... And so New Year's... Every new year it will be so nice to get them from the top shelf and put them in their rightful place at the head of the sofa for the season.

In addition to the photo I decided to find somewhere else large sekhma .. suitable for embroidering pillows with a New Year theme ...

Well ... and I found such for you ... dug up ...

This is how the whole pattern for the pillow looks like ...

And to make it clearer - I broke the diagram into parts and enlarged ..

And here is a big scheme of Santa Claus.

And here's a bigger one christmas tree scheme cross. She is slightly less than 70 cells ... but you can add a pattern around the edges and your embroidered pillow will turn out to be larger in size.

And if you want to QUICKLY embroider a pillow ... and not spend a lot of threads ... then here you are SIMPLE SCHEME… with a minimum amount of work. Even a child can do such work ... there are no long rows ... and painful hours of painstaking work. A wonderful scheme for a Christmas tree with candles - for beginners and impatient.

Here are some ideas for embroidery on New Year's Eve. Your embroidery can decorate Christmas treethe walls of your house… lie down on the sofas as pillows… decorate the tables in the form of napkins… .

It is always a pleasure to give and receive handmade gifts, because they contain warmth and part of the soul. New Year's embroidery in this case is very relevant - and not difficult and from the bottom of my heart.
