In the 1950s, creepers entered the dress code of the representatives of the first British mass youth cult - Teddy boys. Two progressive Londoners, Vivienne Westwood and Malcolm McLaren, celebrated the rebellious culture of the 1950s. They opened a store called "Let It Rock" at 430 Kings Road that sold modernized "uniforms" of the teddy boy, and there were no shortage of creepers.
